I didn’t want the title for this post to be too long, but I feel like a more complete name for it would be “When Autumn Comes To Charleston: Falling In Love”. All kinds of pun intended. Charleston may be a city that tends to be more associated with the summer months because of the beach, the heat, the flowy southern dresses, and outdoor markets, but a really magical transformation happens when Autumn finally arrives.

Maybe it’s just me, but every time I go for a walk downtown I always get the feeling that there’s this unspoken competition to be the house with the best window box display. Or possibly it’s simply a mutual and fierce love of gardening among those living downtown. Whatever it may be, there is definitely something that fuels the persistent dedication to producing the always seasonally appropriate, jaw-droppingly beautiful arrangements that line so many of the window ledges in Charleston.
