I don’t know about you all, but every year after I’ve cleared away all the Christmas decorations I go through a period of readjusting to how bare everything looks. Maybe it’s just me, but every time I go for a walk downtown I always get the feeling that there’s this unspoken competition to be the house with the best window box display. Or possibly it’s simply a mutual and fierce love of gardening among those living downtown. Whatever it may be, there is definitely something that fuels the persistent dedication to producing the always seasonally appropriate, jaw-droppingly beautiful arrangements that line so many of the window ledges in Charleston.
